Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 6, 2025

Look, we get it - nobody actually likes reading these things. But here's the deal: we're not some big corporate chain, we're a local shop that actually cares about your privacy and your ride. This policy explains how we handle your personal info when you book an appointment, call us up, or just swing by the shop.

We work on some pretty nice European imports and performance vehicles, and we know discretion matters. Your business is your business, and we're gonna keep it that way. This isn't gonna be full of legal jargon - just straight talk about what we do with your info.

When you bring your car in or book online, we're gonna need some basics:

  • Contact stuff: Your name, phone number, email address. Pretty standard - we need to reach you when your car's ready or if we find something funky under the hood.
  • Vehicle details: Make, model, year, VIN, mileage. Can't diagnose your BMW or Audi without knowing which one it is, right?
  • Service history: What we've worked on before, any recurring issues, parts we've replaced. Helps us spot patterns and keep your vehicle running smooth.
  • Payment info: Credit card details are handled through our secure payment processor - we don't actually store that stuff on our end.
  • Website data: If you visit our site, we might collect IP addresses, browser type, pages you looked at. Basic analytics to see what people care about.

That's pretty much it. We're not asking for your life story here.

Here's what we actually do with your info:

  • Service your vehicle: Obviously. Can't fix your car if we don't know whose it is or what's wrong with it.
  • Send appointment reminders: We'll shoot you a text or email when you've got something coming up. Saves everyone time.
  • Keep service records: Your car's history with us stays in our system so we can reference it later. Especially useful for warranty work or tracking down intermittent problems.
  • Process payments: Self-explanatory. Gotta get paid somehow.
  • Follow up on service: Sometimes we'll check in after a big job to make sure everything's running right. Not trying to bug you, just making sure we did it right.
  • Occasional promotions: Maybe once in a while we'll send out deals on stuff like seasonal tire swaps or brake inspections. Nothing spammy, promise.

We're not selling your data to marketers or bombarding you with junk. We're too busy wrenching on cars for that nonsense.

We don't sell your info. Period. But there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Parts suppliers: Sometimes we need to order specialty parts and they'll need your vehicle details. They're professional operations, not gonna spam you.
  • Payment processors: Your credit card info goes through secure third-party systems. They're PCI compliant and all that technical security stuff.
  • Legal requirements: If the cops show up with a warrant or there's some legal thing, we gotta comply. Hasn't happened yet in our years of operation though.
  • Insurance companies: Only if you specifically ask us to deal with your insurance for a claim. We'll never contact them without your say-so.

That's it. Your info stays in-house unless there's a legit reason to share it, and you'll usually know about it.

We take security seriously - maybe not quite as seriously as torquing your lug nuts to spec, but close. Here's what we do:

  • Our computer systems are password-protected and regularly updated
  • Paper records with sensitive info get locked up at night
  • Only authorized staff can access customer data
  • Our website uses SSL encryption (that's the little padlock in your browser)
  • We regularly backup data in case something goes sideways

Look, nothing's 100% foolproof - even Fort Knox probably has vulnerabilities. But we're doing everything reasonable to keep your stuff safe. If there's ever a breach, we'll let you know right away.

It's your data, so you've got some say in what happens with it. Here's what you can do:

  • Access your info: Wanna see what we've got on file? Just ask. We'll pull it up for you.
  • Correct mistakes: If something's wrong in our records, let us know and we'll fix it.
  • Opt out of marketing: Don't wanna hear about our seasonal specials? No problem, just tell us and we'll take you off the list.
  • Delete your data: Moving away or switching shops? We can remove your info from our active systems. Gotta keep service records for a bit though - it's a legal thing with warranties and liability.
  • Get a copy: Need your service history for insurance or selling your car? We can print that out or email it to you.

Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA), you've got these rights and we're gonna respect them. Just give us a call or shoot us an email.

Our website uses cookies - not the edible kind unfortunately. These are tiny files that help the site work better and remember your preferences.

What we use 'em for:

  • Keeping you logged in when you book appointments
  • Remembering your language preference (though let's be honest, it's probably English)
  • Analytics to see which pages people actually look at
  • Making sure the booking system doesn't glitch out

You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you want, but some parts of the site might not work quite right. We're not using them to track you around the internet or anything creepy like that.

We might also use Google Analytics to see how people use our site. It's anonymized data - we don't know it's specifically YOU checking out our brake service page at 2am.

Got questions about this privacy stuff? Something not clear? Think we messed something up? Just reach out - we're not hiding behind a corporate wall here.
